Stretch Scopes are designed to survey areas for various radiation while maintaining distance from potentially high radiation fields. One of the design includes external detectors mounted at the end of a 4.7 m (15.3 ft.) carbon fiber telescoping pole, allowing the detector to reach areas difficult to access with other types of instruments. The meter body is made of durable, high-impact plastic with splash-resistant construction for outdoor use.
The other design includes having a one-size detector with a built-in telescoping Stainless Steel Pole that is extendable up to 3.6m (12ft). A clip-on adjustable shoulder strap is included. The instrument handle may be removed, thereby reducing the collapsed length from 105.9 cm (41.7 in.) to 92 cm (36.2 in.) for easier transport and storage of the instrument.
